Exploring The Enchanted Circle

 Day 7 -- August 5, 2021

We wake to 56 degrees outside, and 70 inside the RV.  Looking out the windshield, I see that we are visited by a couple of little bunny rabbits.

We are happy to be in Santa Fe, but need to find another RV park nearer to our desired location in the Enchanted Circle.  So we head out toward Taos and see awesome scenery.

Mountains near Taos, and Angel Fire ski slope --

Rio Grande River --

City of Red River --

We really wanted to stay in Red River, but the one where we stayed previously is already booked.  We stop at another, pictured below, but are told they also booked and we need to book now for next year.

Red River RV Park --

Continuing on the Enchanted Circle, we drive again through Taos, toward the gorge.  This sign reads, "Rio Grande del Norte National Monument."

We drive across the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, but it is too hot to walk the mile back from the parking area, so we get some lucky shots from the viewing area, and while driving back across the bridge.

Driving back across the bridge we get a great view looking down into the gorge.

Continuing our trip back to Santa Fe Skies RV Park, I get a view of a cactus plant growing by the Rio Grande River.

The real luck today is seeing a craft winery along the way, so we stop to take a look.  They are Black Mesa Winery and actually have a vineyard on the grounds.  This varietal is Syrah.
