Day 3 -- August 1, 2019
We wake to rain and daylight is delayed until 7:30a, partly due to being more west of Silverlake, and maybe partly due to the rain.
It's Sunday and we are able to livestream our church service from back home -- St. Andrew's in Pearland, known around the area as the Pumpkin Church. St. Andrew's has an outreach ministry involving buying pumpkins from a group who buys them from Native Americans in New Mexico. So the Native Americans make money, and then St. Andrew's has a huge pumpkin sale in the Fall, using the money from sales to fund its outreach. One service St. Andrew's provides is reststoring homes flooded and damaged during Hurricane Harvey. Yes, there is still a need.
With all the rain, Herb and I decide not to travel, but to stay at Twin Pine another day.
No photos of the rain!!!
