We leave Ridgefield in the rain, and see more clouds and weather ahead.
A little more close -- Seattle. Yes!
Finally, we are at the boat lift at Cap Sante Marina, and get in line for being lowered into the water.
Soon we head for Slip K-25, our home for the Summer.
Excited to see that we arrive during the Anacortes Trawler Fest being held at Cap Sante, we see Kathy and Craig Wilson of Salish Rover waving to us as we round the docks nearby.
Then a call from Bob and Nita of Nellie Too inviting us to a BBQ at their Anacortes home in the afternoon. Time is short for getting docked, loaded and unloaded, organized, and catching our breath, but we surely don't want to miss the event. It is great to see and hear from our PNW friends.
Working fast, we make it to their home for the get together. Actually, it is not our 'welcoming party,' but the annual reception for friends who come to Anacortes for the Trawler Fest. However, we were welcomed!!!
No one went home hungry.
