Then some flooded fields -- crawfish? rice? cranberries? -- I don't know, but I see a sign that reads, "Food Grows where Water Flows."
It is a long day driving, and we begin the search for a park for the night. We are accepted at Premier RV Resorts at Redding CA, and JoAnn says they close the office at 5P, but told us our site number and will leave our receipt and codes in the night box.
That is a comforting thought when we see the clouds darken and the rain come. And it did rain, sheets of it.
Very happy to finally get to the RV Park, we turn down the row where our assigned site is. Hmmmm, It is a back-in space, a bit tight and we wonder how we could get into it. Herb looks around to see exactly where he can seesaw several times to make the turn into the site.
In less than a minute the camp hosts come in their golf cart in the pouring rain to say, "Follow us." They lead us to a pull through with plenty of space, and refuse to let us pay the higher price. This is hospitality! Then the rain is over and the sun is shining once more.
