Chatterbox Falls is on our bucket list, and today we get serious about it. We have been handicapped communication wise by lack of internet, but Tym and June of Circle T get a message to Gail that they have reservations at Fisherman's Resort and Marina for us. Together we will cruise to Chatterbox Falls.
We say so long for now to Last Call and Moondance, and get on our way at 8:05A.
We pass a few family campsites in the no-wake speed inlet. Then we turn north into Malaspina Inlet and encounter lumpy seas at Sarah Point. We go inside Copeland Islands, hugging the coast in Thulin Passage.
Many boats will converge at this point with the same heading; most are courteous, but occasionally one cuts another off and throws a mean wake. We received one, but nothing falls from our shelves. I have learned to stow securely.
Interesting ship.
City of Powell River.
and Westview.
It is interesting to note as we clear Grief Point, we are exposed to the Straight of Georgia across from Comox on Vancouver Island.
Lovely setting for these homes near Pender Harbour.
When we check in at Fisherman's Resort, we are greeted by Val and the resident doggie Rosie, who is sleeping and not interested in being photographed with Jake.
Jake goes inside to get the expected treat from behind the counter.
Find Willie's Tug and Circle T....
We are happy to see Tym and June again -- (we do miss Lincoln, but he is playing football this summer!) -- and get a group photo.
We get settled in and walk the short trail to John Henry's Store for provisions for tomorrow's trip -- and ice cream.
