Day 82 - Roche Harbor, San Juan Island WA - Sunday, July 31, 2011

Our Lady of Good Voyage Chapel has Mass every Sunday morning.

In the afternoon we see Andrew and Kenny leave.  Oh, please don't go!

Did they forget Carleen?

Patrick of Salt Spring Island BC conducts a meeting to organize our trip north tomorrow morning.

It will be the long awaited Desolation Sound cruise with twenty-ish boats heading out.

We take notes so as not to miss any important points -- like slack tide and when to navigate Dodd Narrows.

And when not to go!

Patrick has the attention of everyone.

He tells us that we will leave Roche Harbor at 7 AM to cruise to Bedwell Harbour on Pender Island to clear customs.

They will have extra officers there to accommodate us.

7 AM?

'Ready' at 7 AM?

Yes, we can!

Yes, we will!

June and Herb Bissell of Sea Sweeper, as well as Dennis, enjoy community snacks at the end of the day.

This weekend is wonderful and a preview of the week ahead as we journey together to Desolation Sound.
