Day 102 - Anacortes WA - Saturday, August 20, 2011

If it's the Farmer's Market, then it must be Saturday!  It is the place to be with many food vendors, fresh farm produce, jewelry -- even purses for Inez and Myrna -- and entertainment.

I'm guessing this is local talent, and can see by the smiles on their faces, that they enjoy their performance.  Especially when someone tosses a bill or two into their tip box.

We go near lunchtime to be sure all the vendors have arrived, and find some Mexican food.  Ah, yes!  A taco!  This is very good, is authentic and not Tex-Mex.  Herb is looking for the hot sauce and salsa in case he needs to improve on their seasoning, and he finds some peppers for topping.

As we leave the dining area to continue visiting the booths, a lady reaches out for Jake to give him a hug.  He enjoys that, but has his eye on her hotdog.  As soon as she releases him, he makes a grab for the hotdog, but the lady is quick to protect it.

He finds a man listening to the music and gets a petting from him.

The weather in Anacortes today is very nice, hot even, and we find a shady area with an umbrella table where we can sit for a while and visit with other shoppers.

We watch a cute little girl who is just learning to walk, but has already learned to like ice cream.  Her mother feeds her spoonfuls, but much is around her mouth, and Jake looks like he would be happy to clean her face.

We will have blueberries for dessert tonight.
