"Happy Anniversary, Herb!"
Is this our anniversary present to each other? A Lake Union houseboat?
From our boat on 'stilts' in Canal Boatyard, we observe all the activity around us, and I learn that boats are not only serviced and refurbished here, but built here as well.
No, we do not give each other half a boat!
Another view is toward Fred Meyer grocery and department store, where we provision. It is a very short walk, so we go several times for the exercise.
Herb changes the zincs during the time we are here, and with new bottom paint, Willie's Tug is all finished. She is now lifted back into the slings for transporting again into the water.
Checking our surroundings as we get underway, we see Kenmore Air scooting across the water about to take to the air. In the first photo we look out the helm door of the boat to see the plane appearing to be against the shore. We barely see the white wake it throws.
