Westlake Avenue by Lake Union is a great place to walk, with awesome bike lanes alongside the foot traffic. Mostly what we see are runners and we give way to them. It is a great day to go exploring and take a walk to QFC grocery to pick up a few provisions.
And quite safe to walk in the evening, as well. One of Seattle's buildings reflects the sunset with lovely colors of pinks and yellows. Cranes reach into the sky, suggesting lotsa construction going on. Progress. Below on the street, autos turn on their headlights.
What a surprise to find we have neighbors on the dock as we return home to Willie's Tug. They spend their days swimming and eating, and maybe look for handouts from boaters. I suppose they can't sleep in the water, because they need to watch out for boats -- rule of tunnage!
Along the path of our walk, we come upon a sign that we definitely agree with. When RV'ing, we had a bumper sticker that said, "Home is where you park it." (We never graced Sweet Caroline with any stickers.) Now we want to see one for boaters that says, "Home is where you dock it." This one says it best!
