My second cup of coffee is so good, especially as one of the Sunshine Ladies hands me a fresh baked oatmeal raisin cookie at a Washington State Safety Rest Area near Rochester. She tells me all the baked goods displayed are free to travelers and are made by members of her organization.
They do accept donations, however, and the funds are given to "Safe Place," a place for battered women. I note with interest there is a Holy Bible on her table, and she says that is free to anyone who would like it. Last year they gave away 32 Bibles.
We have a short driving day today, by design, so we can get to our destination and make our nest. A couple of hours on the freeway was quite pleasant with a nice flow of traffic, and soon we can see Seattle. We are almost home.
Arriving at Selene Yachts Northwest on Lake Union, Patrick greets us and shows us where our boat is.
