You say "Bowling Alley" -- 5/17/2014

It is Trawler Fest weekend at Cap Sante Marina in Anacortes, so we get a triple header -- look at boats, visit with friends, and see if Dr. Jake would like to come home with us to Stimson Marina in Seattle.

Dr. Jake says that would be fine, so he thanks Jocelyn and Ray for the hospitality at Camp Guemes.

Actually, it is a quad, as Jim and Joan are in town getting Wild Blue ready for the cruise to Friday Harbor, where they will work and play this Summer.  So it is a great reunion with lunch at The Bowling Alley.

Bowling Alley?  Yes, The Bowling Alley.  One of the best places to eat in Anacortes -- breakfast all day, and a menu that makes you want to order one of everything!

We share stories and catch up on the news.  Ray tells us about one of the walks with Jake and Lilly, who up to now has been a dainty lady not wanting to get her feet wet.

Jocelyn says if Lilly were a human girl, she would be having her nails manicured.

As they were in an area where the dogs could be off leash to run, Jake takes off through the wet grass and mud.    Lilly is right behind, crossing over some wet logs and is heard to say to Ray, "Daddy, this is fun!  I never knew I could do this."

After lunch, we put Jake and his luggage into the truck, and arrive home to Stimson Marina in time for dinner and a lovely yellow and pink sunset streaming through the hawse hole of fishing vessel Pinnacle.
