We play bus-ride again today and learn a lot from other passengers -- or would-be passengers waiting for a late bus.
- Bus 40 always comes
- Bus 40 is always late
- Bus 2 will take you into downtown Seattle
- Bus 2 will become Bus 13 at some point
- Bus 44 will take you somewhere, but it is complicated
- Buses 17 and 18 are Express -- but we can't prove that because they were late, so we took another one
We luv the King County Metro Transit, which we call The Buses. Herb plots a route in his phone, showing him the Bus #, the time it should arrive, and the location. This info is followed by the change to the next bus and it's information. No need for paper schedules.
He is shown here checking in to see at what street we should exit this bus and which one to get next.

After leaving Bus 40, we wait at another stop for Bus 17 or 18 for the express trip to downtown. At this particular time of day -- still early, as people are going to work -- many, many buses come and go.
I am amazed at the number that are bumper to bumper and side to side in the traffic lanes.
As far as the eye can see....I don't get out much.
They are all going the wrong way! |
