This line may never be a problem, but we do not want to take the chance. Prudently, we schedule the maintenance.
Dale, the serviceman, comes about 3:30 in the afternoon with his new oil line and tool box to assess the situation. He has not changed this part on our model boat before now. Oh, this could be interesting.
Herb tells him that he has done some investigation to see where the line is and also has checked its condition. What he sees is that the two hour warranty job will take five hours.
It appears to be impossible to access the work area, but with Herb's knowledge of the boat, he shows Dale what panels they must remove. Most of the work today involves getting to that point.
"Hold on Herb, while I get my tool box." |
Dale's working overtime gets this two man team to a stopping place on this five hour, two man job.
So far, so good, and we hope tomorrow will see a completed replacement of the oil line.
Willie's Tug wants to do some cruising!
