Find Willie's Tug, -- oops, find Nudibranch!
After a bit of reorganizing, we get a good neighbor, Nudibranch, who now lives in K-27. However, it is the day to haul out and head south, so Ray sends this picture of nostalgia, and Willie's Tug can't be found here.
We find Willie's Tug at the travel lift, where she is returned to dry land and readied for the road trip. Herb inspects.
Howard of Gearheart Embroidery (and Ranger Tug Factory) meets us along the way to deliver our new yellow Willie's Tug shirts and hats.
This being Sunday, we don't have a lot of traffic in the Seattle area, until we get near the stadium and see a slowdown southbound on the north side of the stadium, then on the northbound lanes as we get past the exit. Sports event?
The sporting events we enjoy seeing are the sailboats on Lake Union, taking advantage of the bit of wind.
We take the scenic route to Chinook to visit Russ and Toni, leaving I-5 at Olympia, and winding through the picturesque mountains and small, historic towns of southwest Washington. Arriving in Chinook, which is at the mouth of the Columbia River, Willie's Tug is ushered into what I name the Magic Kingdom, and sits next to Traveler.
Find Willie's Tug....
Toni takes me for a walk about the neighborhood, and shows me their beach at the river, and I am thinking how awesome to look beyond and see the Pacific Ocean.
Jake is so happy to be.
Yes, just to be, and to have the spacious yard with grass, where he makes himself right at home. Herb and I echo these feelings!
