Does Anybody Know What Time it is? - 10/9/2012

We leave the PNW on Pacific Daylight time, change to Mountain Daylight one hour later, then at Lake Powell we are in Arizona on Arizona Standard time, back one hour earlier -- or the same as Pacific Daylight time.

We have the wall clock, the ship's clock, and clocks in the coffee pot, two laptops, two cell phones and two iPads.  Some of these automatically go to the correct time as we change time zones.

Some don't.

Does anybody know what time it is?  Does anybody care?

We don't.  We are on vacation.  We eat when we are hungry, sleep when we are sleepy, and have coffee when we want it.   Oh, yes, but cocktails are at 5 o'clock.

Imagine my delight when I learn we will have a guitar concern tonight.  I have seen pictures of Jim's entertainment, but never been present when he performs.

It is time.

Snacks are brought out, and Herb displays a special wine bottle given to us by a friend as we left Anacortes.

As our sun slips away, Jim draws a crowd on H Dock, as he sings some familiar songs - "You May be Right" by Billy Joel and "Love Potion #9" - among others.

When Jim launches into his Jimmy Buffet repertoire, I spring from my chair to run into the boat.  When I return, Herb has his hand out, knowing that I am bringing out our Parrot Head hats.

I would zoom here for Jim's facial expression.

He sings a few songs by the Eagles, one of my favorites "Misty," and then so appropriately Chicago's "Does Anybody Know What Time it is?"
