Days 28 - 30 - Seattle and Friday Harbor WA - Monday - Wednesday, June 6 - 8, 2011

Monday and Tuesday are spent with more shopping to continue making our nest on Willie's Tug, and preparing for another cruise through the San Juan Islands.  In Seattle we find at Fisheries' several items to enhance storage and order what they don't have in stock.

Jake takes us shopping at PetSmart and selects a 'bowling pin' toy to bring home.  There is a wide open area (apparently made for pets to play) and he runs and jumps with his new purchase, putting on quite a show for the shoppers.

Early Wednesday morning we begin our trip to Friday Harbor and again watch for the ferries.  We are about to be overtaken by one at a junction where she could go either of two directions, and we have to anticipate which way she will go -- or get out of the way of either route!  We choose the latter and let her have the waterway.

As we approach Friday Harbor, we cruise into the guest moorage and another guest calls to us, "Just pick a slip.  They will find you."

After we are settled in, we see several boats come into the dock next to ours and have trouble dealing with the current.  It is nice to see others near them go to help them dock -- "It takes a marina" or "Help thy neighbor."

Willie's Tug proudly flies the United States flag.

Jake gets a welcome hug from travelers from British Columbia.
