PNW, Here We Come -- 4/26/2015

Anticipating our vacation in the Pacific Northwest, we load Sweet Caroline with quite a few items we will need, and also take advantage of the available space in the Jeep for the overflow.

Herb does a great job of making things fit tightly so nothing rolls about.

After topping off Sweet Caroline's propane tank, we thank our friends in the office of Advanced RV Park for their hospitality and depart for a day's drive that will get us half way across Texas.

Unfortunately, we don't get to choose the weather today and get bounced around a bit with high winds across the plains.  A gust now and then gets my driver's attention, as he maintains control of the vehicle.  The temperature is 87 degrees at 6:30P when we stop for the night at a Rest Area in Iraan TX.

Wind speed continues to increase to 27 mph, but is predicted to calm down overnight.

The good news is the low will be 56 -- good sleeping temp!

We are treated to the beauty of desert flowers, and I have to say this yucca blossom is the most beautiful I have seen with its snowy white petals waving in the breeze.

I stay away from the sharp pointed sword like leaves.

Herb points on the map the length of our travel today.  It is time to rest!
