A Whole Lot'a Boats -- Friday, 9/6/2013 -- Rendezvous Day 2 -- Day 119

On Friday, Day 2 of the Rendezvous,  Anchor Marine Insurance sponsored a breakfast that will satisfy the heartiest of appetites.  More Ranger Tugs and Cutwaters arrive to participate in our busy day.

The Tug Crawl begins in late morning, giving us the opportunity to show how we have modified our boats to suit our particular needs, and is followed by the Artisans' Fair, where crafts are available for sale.

Randy and Sue have a new 27, Sunshine,  which they got in March and bring guests, Dave and Mary, to share the weekend here.  They go out each day crabbing.  I miss the photo of the steamed ones, but today I watch my chance to get an early shot -- Randy takes a couple of live ones out of his bucket to show me, and I am quick on my feet to get out of their way!

Sue is not sure this is a good idea, as their catch may escape, but Randy returns them to safety.

In the afternoon Mark Bunzel of Fine Edge Nautical and Recreational Publishing speaks to a group on cruising to "The Broughtons and Beyond."  Herb and I have never been north of Desolation Sound, and we have this on our Bucket List for next year!

There is overflow seating and we make room for the brave ladies who would not miss the Rendezvous trip, in spite of their injury and surgical issues.  Lois of Hoku Kai and Nancy of Lazy L are assisted by Dan and Vicki for the seminar.

The famous 'Margarita Bob' fires up his margarita machine at Happy Hour and treats us to a refreshing and delightfully tasty drink(s).  He works so hard for so long that Pam of Wolf Pack gives him a little therapy.

The staff of Cap Sante (Joe, Robert, Maddie, Betty, and Sheila who is not pictured here) welcomes all boaters and sends the Town Crier down the dock to warn us about the cannon that is shot off every Friday evening at 5P.

Jake always tries to be far away when that happens, and sees his chance to plead with the Crier to soften the sound.  They make friends, but the Boom! is none the less loud!

    1. The weekend was such fun, as was the whole summer, which has gone by so fast. I am glad to have spent time with you. Have a great rest of the year!
