Roche Harbor --Tuesday, 9/3/2013 -- Day 116

A look back at Genoa Bay on Vancouver Island BC as we leave around noon for Roche Harbor on San Juan Island, Washington state.  In spite of last night's rain, the sun comes out with low lying clouds.

We pass Hanjin Port Hedland at anchor.

Another dance with the ferries today, as Spirit of British Columbia appears to go on the west side of Piers Island, then turns toward Saanish Peninsula, then back across us.  We adjust speed according to what we think her intentions are, and surmise that she is just trying to give the Queen of Cumberland room.  Now comes the Queen of Westminster.  All we get are slight swells and rolls from their wakes.

This small fast boat gives us a big wake!

Can't resist a photo of Turn Point Lighthouse on Stuart Island, USA.

We arrive at Roche to both sides of Slip 22 and neighbor boaters come to visit.

Another boater wants to show us his boat, and Jake tries to figure out how he could jump aboard!

The neighbor's boat is an ideal place to find Willie's Tug....
