Dr. Jake goes on vacation -- all the way across the dock to Navigator and the kitties. Just so he will be comfortable, he takes his bed.
And his water dish and his 'morsel' dish.
It is so thoughtful of Lynn to send Herb and me a photo to reassure us that he is happy and safe.

(On edit), we hear of Navigator's later cruise from Stimson Marina and see how relaxing it is to fish -- one handed with one's feet propped up. Tango and Sierra find a comfortable place to rest, not caring about the activity.
But curious Winslow takes in all the action.
However, when Neal gets a bite, Winslow scurries away from the noise! and the other two perk up to see if there is danger nearby.
Neal tells me he fishes with barbless hooks so specimens can easily be tossed back, but one flips free onto the deck. Bad mistake, he says, as the 'orange flash' swoops in, snatches the flipping fish and jets into the saloon.

Lynn chases him back onto the deck, where Neal tries to dislodge the fangs, but he says the cat is having none of it. Normally docile, he is now growling and the other two cats steer clear of him.
Neal says the bullheads have sharp spines, but Winslow somehow avoided, eventually taking his prize into a corner, but later relinquishes his hold.
Now I digress to Dr. Jake's visit aboard Navigator....
He is happy to be invited and to show his appreciation, he leaves his soft cushy bed vacant from time to time. It is available for sharing.
He doesn't have to tell Sierra twice; well, actually, he may not have told her at all, she just takes over.
....because she can....she's a cat!
