On to Jellystone in Missoula -- 10/8/2014

On waking, the ambient temp is 59 degrees.  Are we south yet?

Moving on today -- at 9:37A we head toward Billings MT, but this destination may be a bit ambitious.  We'll see.

The scenery in this part of the US is absolutely awesome with its mountains, evergreens, streams and farmland in many areas.

I also love the cityscapes; this one is Spokane.

I confess to thinking of one of my favorite cousins, Jay, who works with and loves trees as much as I.  The camera is not fast enough to grab the posted signs for the Forestry Department, but maybe this one will do.

For Jay --

More beauty along the highway brings us to our destination of Jellystone RV Park in Missoula MT.

  1. Our three grandchildren and their parents live in Spokane area! We love it over there but not in the winter. However, we make the trek across the pass at Christmas, usually in several feet of snow! Ah, what you do for grand kids! Cindy

    1. I can't imagine the incredible beauty with the snow there at that time of year. I bet you sing, "Over the river and through the mountains...."

We drove the motor home from South Texas to North Louisiana one year for a granddaughter's February wedding -- Feb so she could use hundreds of red roses for her flowers. As we prepared to return home, the WX report was showing a system heading our way -- so we could hurry and leave and maybe get caught, or stay another week until it passed. They don't know how to treat roads in inclement WX in the south. They CLOSE the roads. So we left just as the snowflakes began to fall. We out-ran them!!!

We told all kids -- no more winter weddings!
