Salina KS greets us this chilly morning with 43 degrees and sunny skies, but promises high winds and possible tornadoes along our path toward Avinger TX. We wisely leave at the early hour of 8:20A to get ahead of the storm.
There is lots of traffic on the Oklahoma Turnpike today, trucks transporting their goods to various destinations and autos out for a Sunday drive. We catch up with a strange looking truck hauling what looks like bales of cotton.
Shouldn't cotton already have been taken to market?
A closer look tells us it is not cotton, but containers of bees securely strapped onto the truck. Some have escaped their inner packing and are crawling around, probably looking for a way to fly out.
Let's hope they are contained until they get to the farm in Muenster TX where they will live.
