Bill and Tym are late for our date to have lunch at the Croatian House, which is open only on Saturday Market days. Every item on their limited menu is wonderful, and today we order -- I think -- a combination of #2 and #4 and go into the lovely garden to find a table in the shade. In a few minutes we see people who came in after us being served and wonder if we should have ordered an entree that takes less time to prepare.
Bill and Tym order the same as we, and get their food right away. ??? They must have given a larger tip at the window than we did. Or is there a magic phrase? Oh, now I remember! We were to say we want a cappuccino to go. That would prompt the lady who calls herself the Coffee Nazi to say, "No! You sit right down here and enjoy it now! This is not Starbucks."
But Herb and I are patient people. We wait a few more minutes.
After the fact, I laugh when I think the caption of the photo below should be, "Bill, are you gonna eat all that?" as Herb appears to look hungrily at his food.
Our order finally comes and we do not go away hungry, but are sufficiently nourished to be able to visit many booths at the Saturday Market.
Plans are to meet at Village Pizza for dinner -- we arrive at the same time and our pizzas all come at the same time! Yum Yum!
While the food is very delicious, visiting with Tym and his brother Bill is the best part of the evening.
