Welcome Visitors to Willie's Tug -- 7/10/2014

I  think we are really on vacation now.  It is fun to be back in Anacortes, seeing the familiar, seeing friends, and making plans for cruising farther north. There are always some very interesting and different kinds of ships here, and today we see Hawaiian Queen at the end of our dock.

We stay a couple of days at Cap Sante, which gives us time for provisioning, visiting, and having some welcome downtime.

Ray and Brenna come by, but we miss Jocelyn, who came while we were shopping.  Steve brings puppy Cuervo to see Dr. Jake.

Late evenings are peaceful and pleasant in the protected marina -- water like glass and the sky painted soft hues of pink and blue, over which the majestic moon reigns.

An unexpected treat is a visit from Capt. Richard Rodriguez and the first time he and Herb have met in person.  Richard is working with Vessel Assist today, and saw Willie's Tug as he cruised by.

Herb has had many conversations with him regarding captain's classes, and began following his blog in 2010 upon recommendation from Cary of Auklet.

Capt. Richard's blog is at the link below, good boater information:
